Mission capabilities

LIVE COCKPIT

Real-time flight status from your journal: fuel, cargo, rebuy cover, missions, exploration value at risk — with focused voice callouts and one-tap autoplot that types the route into Elite with your own keybinds and verifies it against NavRoute.json.

TRADING & MARKETS

A local galaxy market database (Spansh seed + live EDDN) answers loop and multi-hop searches in seconds, ranked by profit per hour with an honest confidence score and conservative range on every result. Commodity search, mining buyers, price history, persistent watches.

EXPLORATION & EXOBIOLOGY

Road to Riches, neutron routing, bio prediction with community-known signals, first-log ×5 estimates, a surface sample navigator with clearance distances, sell-data finder and per-body waypoint maps that survive restarts.

ENGINEERING

A complete offline catalog — 1,100+ recipes: ship blueprints, experimentals, engineer and tech-broker unlocks, Odyssey upgrades. Wishlists with material deficits, trader math and pinned-plan steps that feed straight into your session plan.

GALAXY & MISSION CONTROL

Powerplay 2.0 pledge and merits, BGS factions, conflicts and reputation on every arrival — plus a time-budgeted session planner that turns missions, deadlines and pinned work into a plot-ready plan using durations learned from your own flying.

SPECIALIST WORKSPACES

Dedicated flows for mining sessions, combat & AX readiness, fleet-carrier upkeep and tritium routes, colonisation hauling with parallel source-finding, and shareable squadron ops boards — exchanged as plain JSON files, no service involved.

Panel-mode trade page: locally computed loops with confidence scores and profit per hour

Routes you can trust, computed on your machine

No waiting on a website: the whole galaxy's markets live in a local database kept fresh by EDDN.

  • Profit/hour ranking with positioning time and pad sizes accounted for
  • Confidence chips & conservative ranges — see price age and depth before you commit
  • ◎ one tap plots any system straight into Elite's galaxy map
  • Watches re-check your favourite loops and alert when demand collapses
Panel-mode galaxy page: Powerplay primer, system factions with influence and reputation

Know every system you drop into

Factions, influence, states, conflicts and your reputation — captured from your own journal on arrival.

  • Powerplay 2.0: pledge, rating, merits and per-system control status
  • BGS at a glance — wars and elections with stakes and days won
  • Community goals and squadron status on the same page
  • Plain-language primers everywhere — built to teach, not assume
Panel-mode ops page: local mission control with time-budgeted session planner and objectives

“I have 90 minutes — what's worth starting?”

Local Mission Control ranks your known work by urgency, value, risk and the time you actually have.

  • Session plans with dependencies and plot-ready destinations
  • Durations learned from your journal — your dock-to-dock pace, not a guess
  • Personal objectives persist per commander and feed the planner
  • Everything stays on your machine — boards export as a JSON file
Panel-mode explore page: exobiology routing, bio prediction and exploration tools

Exploration that pays, exobiology that lands

From Road to Riches to Vista Genomics: plan the route, find the bios, protect the payout.

  • Bio prediction merged with community-mapped signals
  • First-log ×5 likelihood and value-at-risk vs your rebuy
  • Surface navigator with live sample-clearance distances
  • Neutron pre-flight fuel checks and jumponium readiness
Panel-mode engineering page: engineer unlock progress with grade pips and specialties

Engineering without the wiki spelunking

Every engineer, every recipe, every material — offline, on your machine, aware of your progress.

  • 1,100+ recipes: blueprints, experimentals, unlocks and Odyssey upgrades
  • Engineer progress with grade pips, specialties and one-tap plotting
  • Wishlists roll up material deficits with trader conversion math
  • Pinned plans become steps in your session plan automatically
Panel-mode roles page: specialist console with mining, combat, carrier and exobiology workspaces

A workspace for the way you fly tonight

The ROLES console switches the cockpit into dedicated mining, combat, carrier and surface workflows.

  • Mining runs with journal-counted yield, refinery totals, prospector quality and limpet economics
  • Combat & AX session tracking with loadout readiness and unclaimed bounty warnings
  • Carrier ops: upkeep runway, tritium budgeting and jump planning
  • Exobio surface navigator with persistent body-local waypoints
Panel-mode stats page: earnings by source, trading performance and balance history

Your career, quantified — locally

Every credit accounted for, computed from your own journal history and never uploaded anywhere.

  • Earnings by source — trade, exploration, exobiology, missions, bounties
  • Trading performance windows: today, seven days, any period
  • Credit balance over time, session rates, jumps and distance
  • Backed by a compact lifetime event ledger, scoped per commander
Panel-mode settings page: extension builder form with event, conditions, alert action and history test

Make it react your way — no code

The experimental extension builder turns “I wish it told me when…” into a working alert in about a minute.

  • Pick a game event, add conditions like “Reward is at least 100,000”
  • Cockpit alert with optional voice callout, or a suggested objective
  • Test against your own flight history before saving — see exactly what would have fired
  • Saved as a plain local pack: reviewable, editable, removable — and it can never execute code
Panel-mode FSD jump sequence: real-time witchspace tunnel with destination, transit clock and route HUD

The jump is part of the show

When your drive commits to a hyperspace jump, the panel jumps with you — countdown, witchspace tunnel and arrival reveal, live from the journal.

  • Real flight data in the HUD: destination, star class, scoopability, fuel and route position
  • Neutron jumps go cyan with the ×4 supercharge banner; critically low fuel turns the ride red
  • Arrival reveals the system, jump distance and what to do next — deploy the scoop, or replot
  • Yours to tune in Settings: on/off, intensity, flash reduction — or ⏭ SKIP any single jump

STEP 01

Download & run

One Windows exe (or run from source on Linux/Steam Deck). It finds your journal folder and commander automatically and keeps itself updated.

STEP 02

Build the market database

One click in Settings downloads the galaxy snapshot; live EDDN keeps it fresh from then on. Trading, mining and station search unlock galaxy-wide.

STEP 03

Pair your tablet

Scan a one-time QR code from Settings. The tablet gets the touch-first Panel view with its own pages, themes and permissions — revocable any time.

Frameshift launch control: guarded ignition button shown when the game is offline
Game not running? One guarded tap handles ignition — launch control stands down once you're flying

LOCAL-FIRST

No account, no API key, no cloud dependency. Commander history, plans and settings live on your disk, separated from the rebuildable market cache, with automatic backups.

FAIR TO THE NETWORK

Anonymous market observations go back to EDDN by default; broader exploration reporting is a separate opt-in, validated against the official schemas.

PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS

Runs happily alongside EDMC, Inara, EDSM and friends — links out to them rather than pretending they don't exist.

EXTENSIBLE, SAFELY

Local extension packs can react to journal events declaratively — no code execution unless you approve an adapter's exact fingerprint.

Standing on community shoulders

Frameshift exists because the Elite Dangerous community shares its data: EDDN live observations, Spansh galaxy data and routing, Inara and EDSM reference links, and EDCD schemas and documentation. Bundled open-source work: EDEngineer reference data, Project Nayuki's QR generator and Piper TTS. If these projects help you, support them.
